Recieving the same mail, over and over and over...again

I have recently reinstalled Microsoft Outlook XP and
every time while recieving my mail Outlook keep
downloading a new copy of every mail. I have never seen
this behavior and I would be very happy if someone could
tell me what setting I need to change to fix
this "feature".

If you have POP accounts, see if
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q284404 helps. If
that's not your issue, a few questions:

1) Do you have leave-messages-on-server turned on?
2) Are you getting all messages that have been left on the server each time
you download?

Could you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file after you've done a few downloads? Also, have you
installed SP-2 and its update (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;821890)?
