Recipient address rejected

When I try to send an Email on Microsoft Outlook it always fails and I
receive a message telling me it was undeliverable. It goes on to say
'Recipient address rejected: Access denied'

Any advice please?

Will reject for a number of reasons:
1) a non-standard character is in the address such as a blank, forward
slash, back slash, asterisk, etc.
2) no "@"
3) depending on the rejection [any other wording], destination address is
disabled or deleted [and in rare cases for this message, maybe full].
