Recipients can't open word 2007 documents sent as attachments. Attachments
show a .docx suffix once received. What can I do to fix?

From Word 2007, you can save your documents in the older .doc format -- on
the Save As menu in the Office button, select "Word 97-2003 Format".

Or your recipients can install the Compatibility Pack
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HA100444731033.aspx), but I wouldn't
count on them doing anything just to be able to read what you send them.

There is a fix that you can run on your station to allow you to open .docx
documents in older versions of Word. I am not sure where it is but my boss
got it from Microsoft website. Its called File Format Converters.
