Recipients not able to open attachments in Outlook

Hi Vanguard,

My problem was marked as "answered" so I need to start a new thread. I am
using Office 2003 Small Business Edition, operating system is XP
Professional. I ran Outlook in Safe Mode and sent attachment to myself and
was able to open it okay. But my sister in another state (uses AOL) cannot
open it and a friend using her local cable co. in another state can't, either.

Under Add-In Manager there were two boxes checked: "Exchange Extensions
property pges," and Fax Server Extension." But, there was an option to
"install" them so I don't think they're functional. Those were the only
add-ons mentioned.

Thank you for the info on how to get to them!

You can reply to messages marked Answered - that designation is just to help
people searching for posts with answers or for posts that haven't been
answered.

What is listed under the COM Add-ins button?
What message format are you using? DO NOT use RTF. If you use plain text can
your friends open the attachment?

** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version
when requesting assistance **

SORRY! Now there are two threads going for me. I apologize. Uner COM
Add-Ins there was the sub "Add-Ins Available: Qurb Outlook Add-In." I don't
know what "qurb" means but I don't think it's functional since "available"
was highlighted. I use HTML for email.
