I have office 2002 and have applied sp3. All the apps show sp3, but office
update insists that I need to install sp3. What gives?

Hi Bear,
Is Officeupdate recommending SP3 for Office XP or
SP3 for Office 2000? If you have any 2000 series
apps listed in Add/Remove programs in the Windows
Control Panel then you'll need to separately install
that SP3.
If its SP3 for Office XP then see if you can complete
a Detect & Repair from the Word help menu then try
Officeupdate again.
