Recommendations for movie and sound

My clients have asked me to develop a 15-second Flash animation as a
opening for a PowerPoint presentation. Not sure how the movie will
perform within PowerPoint. Can you recommend file format and size?

I'm on a Mac, using Office X. The client is on a PC.

Thanks,

Karen

You'll need to use Flash's SWF output if it is interactive - if it is not
interactive, you can export it to a movie format that will work on both Mac
and Windows.

Flash movies inserted within PowerPoint on the Mac will not work the same
way on Windows.

In fact, the only way to insert a Flash movie in PowerPoint for Windows is
through an ActiveX control. More info here:

Thanks for the helpful information.

Looks like the Flash ActiveX control has to be installed on client's
machine - it will be tough to reqest client to do so. If I create the
movie as a Quicktime or AVI file, will it play full screen when viewed
as PowerPoint slideshow?

Also, I have read several articles on the subject of missing movies or
images. What will be the easiest way to assign relative paths on a
Mac, if it's even possible? Thanks again,

Karen
