Reconciliation... Again

I am trying to figure a way to simply enter the values that the onlin
banking site gives me (which are not always in order and located i
column H), search for them in my ledger (column F for withdrawals an
column G for deposits), then check them off accordingly in a check bo
in say, column E. I just want to be able to transpose their number
into the program and check them off to make sure that we, the bank an
I, are on the same page. Seems like this should be a fairly easy thin
to do, but then, I know very little in Excel 2010 and turn to you guy
for assistance

Just for the record.., reconciling a bank statement is a manual process
wherein you mark every item in your ledger sheet that you find in your
bank statement. Looking for a way to escape (ie: automate) this process
is just asking for trouble, IMO.

<FWIW>
I made my own accounting app in Excel that has been 'approved' (in a
fashion) by the Revenue Agency. It includes separate bank ledger sheets
for each bank account (including one for PayPal) and reconciling in the
fashion I described is a 'piece of cake'! That suggests to me that if
you find your ledger reconciliation a daunting task then maybe your
ledger design needs to be replaced!<g>
