While my wife was out of town, I reconfigured Outlook from Internet
only to Corporate or Workgroup to access my office email (server
store) as well as our ISP Internet e-mail accounts. I checked to make
sure that we could still access her account through our ISP and
thought everything was fine. However, she "informed" me today that
all of her history (old inbox, sent items, etc) are missing! When I
checked today I found that the Office Bar links to these folders now
report that these files don't exist!
So without panicking too much, I did a quick *.pst file search
thinking the reconfiguration probably created a new .pst file and I
could find the old one and just import everything back. Problem is
there is no old one!
Is it really possible that the reconfiguration really ate her
old file? Of course my old messages were not lost so it looks like I
just deleted hers! I hope I'm missing something very simple here or
it's gonna be a long cold summer in Texas for me!
PS: Configuration details ....
Outlook 2000 / Windows XP Pro with separate logins.
Her Outlook account is only accessing our ISP POP3 while
mine is set up to access both office (OpenMail MAPI) and my ISP POP3
account (separate from hers).
