reconnecting mailmerge doc to source via VBA

I know you can reconnect a Word mailmerge document to its
data source by opening the doc and using the Mail Merge
Helper dialog boxes. But is there a way to reconnect a
mailmerge document to its data source via VBA code? The
data source is either an Excel spreadsheet or an Access
database.
