Record locking

I am designing reports but when it comes to saving it, I get this message
that tells me that I don't have exclusive rights to the database. I am the
only one in the database. I find out that I am locking myself out. I can see
a record locking type file through Explorer.

I am able to design or modify queries and save them. Any ideas?

Dear Rena,

The file you mentioned with .ldb extention is used to lock records being
edited. It has nothing to do with exclusiveness.
Try when opening the db from the file menu. In the open file dialog, select
the arrow next to the open button and select open exclusive.
