Record locks in a Novell Network during delete query

Hi,

I was trying to delete stand alone transaction records
from a history table using a delete query, on a Novell
network and I received the following message: "Can't
delete 978 record(s) due to lock violations."

Everyone was off the system. Some records were deleted.
I am using Access 97. It has worked in the past. Is this
a network problem? Referential Int. is not a problem.

I appreciate any ideas/suggestions.

Hi

I used to get this error doing a delete on a novell server. It was a server
related issue. Of course, this was on a Netware 3.x.
I had to increase the max record locks per connection with the following:

SET MAXIMUM RECORD LOCKS PER CONNECTION = 10000

What version of Netware??
