record set not updateable (3326)

I have a form with its record source as a query.

I want to total 3 of the numeric field on the form and update a 4th field
with the total.

I have done this already on onather form and all works OK.

This tme I get the error
"You attempted to edit data in a field that is bound to a snapshot-type
result set object. Snapshot fields in a Microsoft Access database engine
database cannot be edited."

Does any one know What is a snapshot type field and how can I over coem this
problem??

I can't imagine why your query a snapshot-type recordset but here are a

The KB indicates that you use VBA to define it as a snapshot-type recordset.
