Record source - is it a Bug or am I missing something?

Hello,

In Access 2003, when I had a form related to more than one table, I could
choose to build a record source with the query builder, to close the query
builder without "saving query as" (I don’t always need the query more than
once), than Access used to ask if I want to save the SQL statement that been
changed, I used to answer Yes, and the record source used to be saved with
the form.

In Access 2007 it's all looks like the same, I'm taking the same procedure,
Access still ask if I want to save the SQL statement that been changed, I
answer Yes and… nothing.
Access doesn’t save the SQL statement despite the question it keep asking.

Is that a Bug? Can it be fixed? Have you encountered with that issue?

Thank you, Avi

Per Allen Browne

"If the source for a form/report is a SQL statement, and you click the Build
button beside the RecordSource property, your changes are lost when you
return from the query designer (unless you {first} move to another property)"

Sorry Linq, was that an answer to my question or adding to it?

Confirming it's a bug. The workaround, as Allen said, is to first move to
another line on the property sheet before closing it or saving the form.

It is the answer, Yes it is a bug and yes this is the work around for it.
Just move your cursor from the record source property to another property
before you return from the designer.
