Recorded DVD Segmment Embeded into Power Point presentation...?

I recorded a story from "60 minutes" which is relevant to my
PowerPoint Presentation. Recorded it on DVD-R.

I would like to somehow store that story in my Desktop HD (my
Laptop doesn't have a DVD reader), where I am preparing my .ppt
presentation.

When I get to a certain slide of my .ppt presentation, I would like it
to run that "60 minutes story" from the HD and then get back to the
next .ppt slide.

Could somone take me through the process please ?
