Recording Macros with PPT 2007

Hi everybody,

after a while I realized that it is no longer possible to record macros with
PowerPoint 2007.
At first I thought this must be a major bug...

As a "workaround" I installed PPT 2003 in addition to the new 2007 edition.

Is there any hope that this feature is reimplemented in the future.

And: Why is it deactivated in PPT 2007 since it is still possible to record
with all other Office Products....

The feature has been removed. I mostly use macros in PowerPoint, no the
other Office products, so I wasn't aware that the recorder was still
available in the other Office products...that's makes it really annoying
that they only removed it from PowerPoint. With that said, I think that
PowerPoint has gone through the most changes, and the macro recorder has
never kept up with the new features. For example, in 2002 and 2003, the
recorder could not deal with animations (which were totally redone in 2002).
Even though VBA itself has (mostly) kept up, the recorder was becoming more
and more useless. I still have 2003 along with 2007, and I still use the
recorder on occasion. I certainly hope that Microsoft decides to bring it
back.
