Records/Data in table is being deleted

I am using Access 97. I have a Database they I use to add
and edit files. One field in my form "adjuster" gets
information from a table "adjuster". If I add a file
everything works fine. However, if I need to add
information to the table, i.e. a new adjuster or employee
or attorney, the first few entries in my table are
deleted. For some reason, my data information is being
deleted. I have searched and searched for answers to what
I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you add a new record, are you sure you *are* adding a new record, eg by
using the * symbol on the record selector. I have seen new operators fall
into the trap of just overwriting data on whatever record they are currently
showing, thinking they are inserting a new record, when in fact they are
editing an existing one.

fine. It is information in my different tables that are
being erased or deleted.

I think we need more information about the structure of your tables, and
what queries and forms are being used to do the editing before going any
further with advice.
