recordset compile error in word

Have a macro that runs on 2 other pc's with same windowsxp & officexp BUT
another pc with same software after some time started failing with a compile
error:

Debugger highlighted: rstproj as dao.recordset
said it was an undefined user type. The help suggested if it was a known
type (it is) then look @ the references dialog box & make some changes ...
I find references grayed out under tools. So how do I bring the references
dialog box up? TIA

BTW have reinstalled windowsxp & officexp but no banana :-(.

G'day "ted medin" <[email protected]>,

Go to the VBE (Alt+F11), Tools > References

However, I vaguely remember something about adding a dummy userform to
your VBProject will also do the trick.

Got a reply from ms & they suggested deleting normal.dot I am currently 90
miles from the pc with the trouble & hope to try ms's fix this Friday.
before that they said run: %appdata% anyone know what that does? TIA
