A FRIEND OF MINE DELETED SOME OF MY COOKIES AND NOW I CAN'T FIND A LOT OF MY
STUFF. HOW DO I RECOVER THE DELETED COOKIES?

Please don't SHOUT!

Cookies are nothing to do with Word. None of them are essential and most of
them are not even beneficial to you so I wouldn't worry about it. If there
is a particular one you really want, your only chance is a backup. How
cookies are stored depends on the browser you are using so I can't advise on
where to look in your backup. What exactly can't you find?

SHE DELETED A BUNCH OF MY PICTURES THAT I HAD DOWNLOADED FROM MY CAMERA. IS
THERE ANYWAY I CAN RETRIEVE THEM?

Hi Annemarie,

On the web, using ALL CAPITALS is considered shouting and is hard to read.
Please stop doing it.

So your problem is nothing to do with cookies, but still nothing to do with
Word. If you have a backup you can restore from it. If you still have the
pictures on your camera you can upload them again. If your pictures have
gone to the Recycle Bin (it depends how they were deleted) then you can
restore them from there. Otherwise, I am afraid, your only chance is to
immediately stop using your computer and investigate the possibility of
recovering the data from your hard disk. Whether or not any of it is still
there is a matter of luck. There are firms selling specialist software for
this on the web (but use another computer to look) or your local computer
shop may be able to help - but be prepared to be disappointed.
