Recover email

I had been composing an email for a couple hours, the laptop went into
standby while it was closed, when I got home eventually (I think) it went
into hibernate, I opened it up and thinking it had turned off pressed the
power button which began the process of shutting the laptop down but there
was a alert window open telling me that I should plug it into power because
the battery was low and so I did and clicked the ok button, that's when the
laptop began to shut down and did so. When it dawned on me that I had not
sent the email I restarted the laptop and went to complete the email and sent
it I expected it to be in the drafts folder but it's nowhere to be found, yet
the drafts folder reports a size of 75k so obviously the question is can I
recover the email?

No need to post more than once.

I think you're out of luck.
