recover lost file

T

tam

I was working ona file and had saved it. My laptop was in sleep mode and I saw the file as late as this morning. When I turned off the computer and rebooted it, my file is nowhere to be found. When I open Word, it did not show it and when I search, I can't find it. For some reason, I can't "see" the folder where word normally stores temporary documents (C:/Documents and settings/my name/Application data/microsoft word". Is all lost? I've been workingon this proposal and don't want o have to begin again. Is there any hope?

Thanks

Unless you have changed it, the default location for saving documents (which
is where you should be looking) is C:\Documents and Settings\Profile Name\My
Documents.
