Having lost my power supply, and taken the machine to the technician,
discovered that the hd was also failing. He copied out data files and I have
a folder called "Outlook" in a folder called "Application Data" that was
recovered from the old drive. It doesn't appear that any of them are .pst
files. There is a "FAV" file, a .srs file, and several "Office Data Files"
that all identify as Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings. There are also
files called outcmd, outitems, outlPrnt. There is also a folder elsewhere
called "Contacts" that claims 23 files and 1 folder, but shows empty when
opened (says hidden file are displayed).
Now, having reinstalled office on my new drive, is there any hope of
recovering my mail from these files?
