Recovering a Corrupt Plan

Hi,

I have a user who cannot access her MS Project plan. We have tried to
restore but the 2 versions we had were also corrupt and unable to open. This
plan is visible in PWA but you cannot open from there as a black box appears
when trying.

Any suggestions?

Don't know if you have tried this, but if you can do a File Save As,
from the File dialog, save the file in XML format. Open the file in
XML and then save that file back to .mpp format with a different
name. Open that file to make sure it opens correctly and review it
for any issues stemming from the corruption. After that, you can
update and publish or do whatever you need to do.

There is a proj tool in the SDK that can sometimes open files that
Project Pro will barf on. In some instances this will allow you to
fix a problem or at least read it and weep...
