Recovering a deleted Exchange email account

From within Outlook, I deleted a old (dormant) Exchange email account. What
I didn't realize is that all my messages and folders were deleted as well.
Is there any way to recover the folders and messages or restore the old
account?

Do you still have the OST file associated with the account? It should be in
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook on an XP
system. If so, you can purchase an OST to PST converter or perhaps this
free one will do the job:
http://hellomate.typepad.com/exchange/files/ost2pst.exe . Make sure you
make a copy before messing with them.

If you don't have your OST any more, you're ot of luck unless some Windows
Undelete utility can find it.

Thanks Brian. Yes, I did find outlook.ost (as well as archive.pst). What
exactly do I need to do with the ost file?

Convert it to a PST, exactly as I said already.
