Recovering a deleted TASK

If you select a TASK, but do not open the TASK by double clicking on it, you
can preview that TASK. While in preview mode, if you attempt to highlight
and delete a single character, the entire TASK will be deleted.
Alternatively, if one double clicks the TASK and opens the TASK, anything can
be highlighted and deleted without the entire TASK item getting deleted. I
have unintentionally deleted entire TASKs while in preview mode, and I can
not figure out how to find and restore the deleted TASKs. Can anyone please
help me figure out how to restore or at least view the deleted TASKs? I've
checked the deleted items folder and all I see are deleted e-mails, not
TASKs. THanks!

OK - I figured it out.... I expected to find the deleted Tasks at the top
of list of deleted items. However, if the Task had a "start date" back in
August, then I need to scroll through deleted items all the way back to the
Tasks start date, and that is where I will find it. The Deleted items folder
can be sorted, too, by Task items or by Calender items or by E-mail items.

I'm glad you figured it out, but I am puzzled...why would deleting some of
the text from a task item delete the whole task? What version of Outlook are
you using?
