Recovering/Converting Messages from EWS Format

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I had been using the entourage for web services beta since about January when it stopped working. My hosted exchange provider lost all interest in supporting it and I needed to get back on line.

So, I uninstalled the program and now have a "fresh" version of 2008 running without the web services beta. Because of exchange, I was able to recover all sent mail, contacts and calendar. However, I have about six months worth of mail that I had stored in LOCAL folders that are now in EWS format and cannot be opened or viewed.

Does anyone have a suggestion or help for me on getting these messages back? There are a large number of messages I really need but have no idea how to recover them.

Thanks.

Keep in mind that the premise of a beta is to test. You should never
test with data that you don't want to lose.

I suggest you install the EWS beta and export your messages to .rge
files. If you're lucky then the older versions of Entourage will still
recognize this format. If not, then you may be out of luck.

they can get a more reliable connection to Exchange Services- THX!

You're ignoring what I said in my previous post:

The premise of a beta is to *test*.

Betas should *never* be used for the purpose of trying to improve
performance or gain new features. The software will be released and
supported in the near future. That's when you want your VIPs to use it.

As for joining the beta now, you can't. Per this page
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/itpros/entourage-ews.mspx>:

Thank you for your interest in the Entourage 2008 Web Services
Edition beta. We have reached our capacity for beta
participants, and are no longer accepting applications. We want
to thank our customers for their excitement and feedback for
this product. Stay tuned for details on final release coming
later this year.
