recovering items after Sync removed them

I have had a Palm Treo phone for about 2 yrs using windows operating system.
When I first purchased it, I tried to keep it in sync with my Outlook, but
every time I sync'ed it, it would mess up my contacts, appointments, and
calendar - so I stopped. I have now purchased the new Palm Pre and I wanted
to port all of my info from the Treo to the Pre. Since I nolonger maintained
any of this info on Outlook, I had deleted it, but when I sync'ed my Treo for
the first time in 1.5 yrs, it deleted everything from Treo that was older
than the last 1.5 yrs.

Apperantly, Outlooked remembered that I had deleted all of this 1.5 yrs ago
and sync'ed the delete to my phone. Since Outlook knows that I had deleted
it, is there any way I can get it all back!

Please someone HELP!

Do you have a backup? That is the only sure way to get them back that I know
of. Check in palm forums - maybe there is a recover deleted items utility
for it.

Diane Thanks for your reply.

Unforturnately, I don't have a good backup - I back up my data on my D drive
but not my system files on C ( where outlook is) and I was counting on
Outlook to be the backup for my phone.

I did talk to a Palm Tech support person - he wasn't much help other than he
said if I could find the name of the "Partnership" that I used when I backed
up, I might be able to restore my data - I have that now, but can't seem to
get back to this person or find anybody at Palm that knows about this --- do
you have any idea where the original Palm Tech was heading or have any other
ideas? -- thanks again.

Outlook doesn't keep its data files where the Outlook program is kept. If
you've backed up your user profile, then you've backed up your Outlook data,
unless you've deliberately moved the Outlook data elsewhere.
