Recovering Previous Versions

I made a really stupid mistake! I "saved as" an excel document with
the same name as another document. I then realized that I needed to
recover parts from the previous version of the originally-titled
document. Is there any way to do this?

Generally not. If you choose the Always Save Backup option when you
first save your file (File/Save/Options), XL will save the last version
as a backup (using the phrase "Backup of " along with your original
filename as the backup file's name), along with the new version.

Unless you have a backup file, it's probably lost forever.
