Recreating Customer EPM environment

I'm trying to recreate a client's EPM environment. I have a backup of his
SQL databases, but obviously my server names are not the same. What should
i change in order to get the environment up and running on my side. I have
one physical server and a virtual server in my environment. Please help!

Hi Ben,

Thanks, it worked. But is there a way to link to the risks, issues and
documents? I have the sharepoint DB also. What I need to do is to recreate
the environment and try to resolve issues my client has with exporting risks
and issues. Thus I need to get the sharepoint sites up and running also.
Can you please assist.

Hi Jacques ,

Is it possible for the client to send you a virtual image of his
implementation? Here, I would be assuming that all components are on
the same physical machine so that when you create the virtual image,
you have all components (DB, Project Server, etc). You can then use a
virtual PC software to open the image (e.g. Virtual PC 2007).

If this is possible, then you will have a twin copy of the client
environment.

Moving the issues and risks is a pain. you have to find the WSS content DB
and then install that to the new system. Also, I've done WSS migrations
before using smigrate.exe (I think).
