Recuring task

I have created 2 recuring tasks
1st one starts at 14h00 with a duration of 2 hours
The second one is a successor of the first one, with a duration of 0.5day.

Both task start the same day of the month and use the same calendar with
40hours/week, 8h/hours per day, from 9.00 to 12.00 and from 13.00 to 18.00.
No working hour on the week end. No holiday entered.
Recurence period is 3 month.
"Scheduling ignore ressources calendar" check box is not checked for both
tasks.

My problem is the following:
For 1st month and 3rd month, first task finish at 16.00. 2nd task then
logically start at 16.00 and finish next day at 11.00
But, for the second month, first task finish at 16.00, BUT 2nd task starts
only next day at 9.00, finishing at 14.00.

I have double and triple check the calendar and cannot find any reason due
to working time or calendar. No ressources have been assigned to both task,
so no possible difference coming from a task calendar vs a project calendar.
What can be the reason why this second task is not scheduled the same way?

Hi Gilles,

Off the top of my head, my guess would be that the recurring task is
constrained with a Start No Earlier Than constraint. It's tough to tell
without actually looking at the file.
