A user modified a recurring calendar appointment and unintentionally lost
all the previous exceptions, most of which contained notes about what was to
be discussed on that particular day. The warning dialog box was ignored, and
the changes were committed. We do a brick-level backup of the Exchange 2000
server using Veritas Backup Exec, so I went to the restore selections and
selected the appt from the user's calendar and restored it. The appointment
restored, but there were no notes. Is the information in those appointment
notes gone forever?
