Recurring appointments based on other appointments

I have a monthly deadline date that changes each month. However, there are certain recurring appointments that are time sensitive based on the deadline. (EX: Need to run a report 3 days before deadline). Is there a way to set up recurring appointments based on the deadline date (which again, changes each month --- may be the 19th is month and the 22nd
next). I'm using Outlook 2000.
