recurring appointments

Chris

I'm using Outlook 2007 at home for personal use and at work connected through
an Exchange server using a Samsung ACE smartphone in between. When I create
recurring appointments, the "Skip Occurance" button is occasionally grayed
out. I can't see a pattern and I'm not sure why this is happening. Any
thoughts?

You're creating them on the phone or in outlook? Where is the button - on
the phone or in outlook?

Creating them in Outlook, both at home and at work. The button shows up on
the appointment page in Outlook.

Does it say "Skip Occurrence" or "Remove Recurrence" ? Can you delete the
occurrence with the keyboard or right-click?

The "Skip Occurance" button is what's grayed out. I can delete the task, but
that would get rid of it permanently, not just for that specific instance.
For example, "Workout A" is a recurring task on every Monday. If I skip the
workout, I don't want a task in my list for the remainder of the week, but I
still want a new instance of that task on the following Monday. Does that
make sense?

So is it an appointment or a task?
