Recurring appt - cannot change meeting time in Outlook 2003

In Outlook 2003, once I've created a recurring appointment, there's no way to
change the start time or the duration for the series, only for individual
occurrences.

Is there a way todo this?

If you select a single instance and open it, do you get the prompt for "Open Series" or "This instance?"
