Recurring Birthdays

J

John Gregory

I have a home network running three machines withh three different
platforms. Two of these (an older WIN98SE and a new WINDOWS XP Home Edition)
hopefully will be using Outlook 2000 whne I get the .pst file squared away
on placed into a network folder.

I copied the .pst file to the XP machine, renamed it, and scanned it for
errors (scanpst.exe I think). When I opened it, I found some of the
reoccuring bithday reminders weren't activating. (Incidently, I don't know
if this is significant but the original was created in the IMO mode but the
XP runs in the CW mode). I deleted the recurring event icon found in the
CONTACT file of a few of the individuals involved, created a new recurring
event with links to sounds files on XP (will this become a problem with
using Netfolders?), then saved everything. No new recurring event icion
appeared on the CONTACT file but the event does appear on the calendar.

Is the icon supposed to be there? If it is, is there a way to make it
appear? Everything looks like it's ready to work and the original issue I
had proior to creating this copy (a duplicate listing of contact names in
the search results list when only one record really existed) ... that
problem is gone.
