Recurring calendar entry that I can't seem to delete

There is a calendar entry that I cannot seem to delete except 1 by 1. The
original meeting organizer said that she has taken me off and it appears that
way because when I click on the entry I can't send a message to anyone. I
have deleted a lot of the entries manually, but they appear to go on forever.
Is there a way for me to delete this calendar entry once and for all?

Switch to All Appointments or By Category view and delete it?
