recurring & failed update message

I recently nuked my HD and reinstalled Windows XP Pro and Office 2003. I keep
getting an irritating message that "Some updates could not be installed";
that the following failed:

Security Update for Office 2003 (KB920813)
Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB933669)
Security Update for Publisher 2003 (KB894542)
Update for Office 2003 (KB923097)
Update for Office 2003 (KB925251)
Security Update for Word 2003 (KB934181)
Update for InfoPath 2003 (KB920103)
Security Update for Outlook 2003 (KB924085)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB934180)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB914455)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB936048)
Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB940602)
Update for Office 2003 (KB919029)

What can be done about this?

Hi, muybn,

Some people have found success by repairing all the Office applications,
then running the updates again.

Otherwise, try this article:

Otherwise, you might find each update and try to install it "manually".

coincidentally found out that what you're saying worked for me.
