Recurring meetings

My boss has certain recurring meetings that he wants on his calendar but that he only needs to attend when required. He would like these meetings to be visually distinctive. I have them marked for a specific category but that doesn't make a visual difference. Is there a way to change the look of specific meetings on an outlook calendar?
