Recurring project

I hope I'm not asking something that's been answered many times before.
I have a project spannig 21 days which repeats every 3 or 4 weeks.
The tasks are always the same and occurr at the same point in each case.
I'd like to set up a template that would allow me to change the start date and adjust the task dates automatically.
Am I asking too much?

Any help appreciated

Hi Skewsy,

Project does that automatically when you change the project start date

There are two approaches you can choose from.

1. If you are creating a new project plan file every time then
(a) Create your project plan tasks
(b) Click on File | Save as ... and in the dialog box set "save as type"
to Template. This puts your plan in a separate folder (defaults to
"Templates") and gives it the extension mpt.
(c) Every time you start a new project file click on File | Open, navigate
to the place where you stored the template and open that template.
(d) Make any "this time specific" changes
(e) Click on File | Save will open the "Save as" dialog box to let you save
the file as a *project* file (not a template file).

2. If you want to create a single project file to hold all "occurrences" of
the standard approach:
(a) Create your project plan
(b) Click on File | Save as ... and save the template-like plan
"occurrence"
(c) Close the file

Now, open your "all occurrences" plan
(d) Click on Insert | Project and then MAKE CERTAIN YOU CLEAR THE BOX
LABELED "Link to project"
(e) Click on the template-like plan you saved in step (b)
(f) Make any "this time specific" changes.
(g) Click on File | Save.

Just set it up once, then save the file as a template. When you create
a new project, use the File New menu and you'll see you're saved
template. Once the new one is open, change the start date using the
Adjust Dates tool on the Analysis toolbar and you
