Recurring tasks - automatically push dates with e.g. 50 days - MSProject 2003

Hi there
Am fairly new to MS Project 2003 - I have one question that I need
some help with...

I have say 15 tasks with about 4 sub-tasks each. These tasks will
repeat 4-5 times during my project year. I have now completed my plan
for my first release - now I just need to somehow reuse what is there
for my next 4 releases - and I would like to be able to stay in the
same project plan,,, is this possible... I guess I am looking for a
way to mark xx number of tasks (and subtasks) and say "Add 50 days to
all dates" (start and end)...

Does this make sence? Is it possible?

Hoping for a little help?

Hi

If for all the releases in the year you want to remain in the same file,
create a summary task for all the 15 Summary tasks for the first release. Now
copy this whole group and paste below number of times required within the
year. Change the Start date of the first activity of each group and rest of
the dates would be automatically calculated within each group.

But, as I understand, ideally you should put each release in a separate file
and insert all files in a blank file as sub projects. This way each release
activities remain independent also and the master you can also get a holistic
picture for the year.

I hope it helps.
