Recurring Tasks in Outlook 2003

When I make a task recurring, say every month, I don't see it after the
first instance.
Does on have to have a certain setting in Taskpad View for Recurrence to
work correctly?

A new recurring task is only generated when the previous one is marked
complete. Outlook has always worked that way.
