Recurring Tasks-Incorrect calculation

When I insert a recurring task with a 2-hr duration and 12 occurrences (monthly meeting), why does it calculate the total duration to be over 200 days?

Ted --

The duration of the recurring task is calculated from the Start date of the
first meeting to the Finish date of the last meeting. Hope this helps.

You appear to have confused duration with work.

Duration is the number of days from the date the task is first scheduled to
the date the task is last scheduled.
Work is the actual number of hours the task will take during that duration.

Yes, that's because the single recurring task line is, in fact, a summary of
all the recurring tasks. Click the little + sign to see all the tasks. You
can then modify each task individually if you wish.
