Red crosses

Exile

This has been a problem for me over many years. I don't have a
solution, but I do have a presentation in which I can create a red
cross to order every time. This leads me to believe that this is
caused by something which gets into the presentation from some
inserted file and then causes the problem.

I do not have the ability to solve this but if anyone would like the
presentation to work on, let me know.

I read that experts were looking for such a presentation, but have no
idea who to contact.

Generally it's caused by a pasted image (that hasn't been saved on the
computer)

This doesn't help anybody in anyway. Probably millions of people cut and
paste images into PPT without any problems. So: what really causes it? If
it has something to do with pasting from clipboard, what is the
connection? Are there some conditions under which this happens? What can
be done about it? Most importantly: What should "Exile" do about it? (Who
claims to have inserted files)

Hi, Exile.

You can send the file to me if you'd like: echos at indy dot net is the
address.

Please mention which version of PPT you work in. Was the file created in a
different version of PPT? How do you insert the images? What are the exact
steps to repro the Red X in this file?
