Red X in PPT files

Hey guys...All of a sudden my powerpoint is starting to display red X
for pictures which were fine even an hour earlier. Since the pictures
were there before, it shouldn't be a problem with locating the files.
Why is this happening -- is it a memory issue? How can I fix it?

Hi Buster,

It certainly could be a memory issue. What version of PowerPoint? What
operating system? Did you add more stuff the presentation?
