We recently migrated from Groupwise to Exchange/Outlook 2003, and the users'
Groupwise archives were converted and saved in their homedrives as follows:
H:\%username%.pst.
I have to change every Outlook client to automatically archive to this file,
and I would like to do it with Group Policy, or with a registry hack or
anything else that I can push centrally to all clients. I understand that
using pst files across the network is not supported or recommended;
nonetheless, this is what I have been told to do.
So, can I make the default archive file H:\%username%.pst (using the
variable, not the actual user's name), and can I make the change
administratively? We don't want to give users an instruction sheet about how
to do this manually. I would also like to change the autoarchive to this path
and file.
Thanks,
Graham
