Redirect URL to avoid the C+# area URL craziness

I've tried a virtual directory in IIS, a destination set and web publishing
rule in ISA Server, and Link Translation in ISA for the main web publishing
rule I use in ISA for my portal. None seem to work. I'm trying to redirect
a call to http://portalname/training (an obviously easier to remember URL)
to the real directoy in the database of http://portalname/c12/training

Sometimes the news servers get out of synch, causing the type of symptoms
you describe. You'd be much better off asking this question at
microsoft.public.project.developer
