Redirect without including Cc recipients

Jeff

I am trying to archive old e-mail from the Entourage database for my
main account to my Gmail account. Over the weekend I used a couple of
rules to redirect nearly 4000 messages and move them into a holding
folder (so I could make sure everything had got through before deleting
the originals). So far as I can see, everything went fine, BUT...

It turned out that whenever a message from my "Sent Items" had anyone
in the "Cc" field ("Bcc" isn't involved), the message was copied to
them as well as redirected to my Gmail address. This was annoying (not
to mention confusing) to them, since they'd already received these
messages over two years ago, and it took up a good deal of my time
today explaining and apologizing.

Does anyone know how this can be prevented? I don't see anything in the
Entourage documentation, and I searched on "redirect cc" in this group
before posting this. Any advice would be gratefully welcomed.

The rule that caused the trouble is under the "Outgoing" tab:

If
<Date sent> <Is greater than> [730] days
Then
<Redirect to> [my Gmail address]
<Move message> <Archive>

I want to keep a record of who was Cc'd in the first place, so a script
to remove all Cc and Bcc addresses won't serve the purpose.

TIA, Jeff
