redirecting the output of saved files in word?

Where do I set the save as location for files in word? I'm using macros as
well to save a document after a series of checks so do I have to define this
in code too?

Tools>Options>File Locations

Or in code

Options.DefaultFilePath (wdDocumentsPath)
