Reduced Functionality Mode

I have searched the boards as well as the internet as
well as both Microsoft and my computer vendor tech
support for an answer to this problem, but so far all I
have is a copy of Office XP that still doesn't work.

When I open Office XP I get the 'Reduced Functionality
Mode' box but with the 'next' and 'back' buttons greyed
out. I can not progress to any screen that would enable
me to register the product and leave RFM. I have my
product key and have no aversion to registering over the
phone, but I can not access a screen that will let me
register.

I have removed and reinstalled Office but it always jumps
ahead to this dead-end screen and I can't navigate either
forward or back to register. When I run key-finder
programs (i.e. magic jelly bean) it detects Office as
being registered under my correct key.

I am running Windows XP Pro and am installing Office XP
SBE.

I hope someone out there has some solid idea of what I
can do to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi Nate,

Office XP Small Business Edition is an OEM only
package, in many cases it's preactivated by the
PC provider. Are you using the Activation choice
in Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office Tools?
