Reduced functionality -- what will I have left?

I am utterly in love with OneNote. My trial copy will expire 9/13, and I
won't be able to purchase the full edition until early October.

1. What will I have when the trial ends? Will the notebook structure be
intact but read only? Will I not be able to compile note flag summaries?
2. If I back up my files from My Documents, what will I have? Will these
be text files or formatted like OneNote . . . or what?
3. When I do install the student version in October, will I have again have
complete access to all my pages the way I do now before the trial version has
expired?

I appreciate having this discussion group. I've already bookmarked Kathy
J's pages and enjoy learning from the more experienced users.

You're pretty much right on all the answers. You'll have OneNote files you
can read, whether you back them up or leave them as they are now, and
they'll remain when you purchase the full version.
