Hi,

I am having problem when a sheet that is refering another
file. If the file does not exist. I am expecting
a "#REF!" to show and it does not. I did some research
and they said something about a link reference file. I
was wondering how does it work.

Any help to pointing me to right direction is very much
appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hi JL!

Maybe more help will be forthcoming if you:

Give example of your formula that is referring to another file.

Say what it is returning?

Where, exactly is the requested file located.
